DFI Week Two: Work Flow

With today's introduction to the 'Learn' aspect of the pedagogy it was interesting to have an explanation of the difference between recognise, amplify and turbocharge. The simple table that Dorothy shared in her slides really helped me to separate these in my mind because it inlcuded links to things that I regularly use.

Our exercise this afternoon of recording our screen while discussing a blog post with our buddy was great, I really enjoyed viewing the different blogs from learners. I also thought that in my own context of a New Entrant team, it would be a worthwhile exercise to do a screen recording (maybe using screen castify - I'll ask our local facilitator about the best tool for this) getting children to look at pictures/video and discuss them. This would be a great tool to use to record development in oral language over the course of the year.

Here is my discussion with Jenny about Benjamin's blog post - I love how he involved his Dad in the recreation and I wonder if he didn't have the 'Share' aspect to his learning whether or not he would have spoken about his ANZAC learning with his Dad. What a cool way for him to share the learning with his Dad while they created the recreation - and then to share with a wider audience once he shared it on his blog as well.
